USB HID Device scanning

The connection between the microcontroller and the host computer is via the USB HID interface. To establish communication with each connected device you need to perform a USB port scan.
Step 1:
Connect the devices to the USB ports and select the appropriate microcontroller under MPU/MCU / Board Type

If the MCU VID and PID were previously changed in the OTP, set the appropriate values in the "Memory Options" Setup->Memory Options window before scanning.

Step 2:
Go to Setup->USB Location and the USB-to-Target Location Assignment window will appear. Select "Automatic selection" and click "Scan". After scanning, you will see a list of selected devices showing the hub and port number. Save the list by clicking "Apply" and exit the window by clicking "Exit".

If a device is switched to a different port the scan will have to be performed again

In this example, 6 devices are connected. The list completes automatically in random order of hub and port number. After scanning, the hub and port numbers for a given Target remain fixed.

Step 3:

In the last step you have to choose which targets you want to connect to. Then the connection check is done by clicking the "Connect" button. Successful connection will be indicated by the icon , no connection is indicated by
